- NDIS participants/families, NDIS Stakeholders such as Support Coordinators and other professionals.
Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Plan, deliver and evaluate Speech Pathology services to NDIS participants which help them achieve their NDIS goals.
- Support NDIS participants’ inclusion and participation in the community
- Provide services and supports in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Demonstrate an understanding and ability to provide services and supports within the parameters of the participant’s available NDIS funding
- Participate in regular professional development opportunities to keep up with current developments

- When assigned, supervise and train assistants, volunteers and students, ensuring the maintenance of professional, clinical, ethical and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with PRS duty of care (code of practice)
- Ensure services meet quality service standards and NDIS guidelines
Qualifications & Knowledge/Experience
- Provisional registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
Technical Competencies
- Demonstrate ability to conduct comprehensive behaviour assessments and designing, implementing and evaluating behaviour support plans
- Extensive knowledge of The Positive Behaviour Support Capability framework and thorough understanding of restrictive practice regulations
- Demonstrate understanding of the common impact of disability on families of people with a disability
- Demonstrate an awareness of the principles of positive behavioural intervention, including strategies that are embedded in the context of strengths based and least restrictive practices
- Demonstrate skills in administration of a range of psychological assessment tools for the evaluation of cognitive abilities, psychopathology, personality and other relevant psychological constructs
- Demonstrate a range of intervention strategies to address needs that relate to activities of daily living, social integration, sensory processing and integration and mental health management
